FAQs: Spas for Families
How much does a 6 or 7 person hot tub cost to run in the UK?
A well-insulated 6 or 7 person hot tub typically costs between £1.50 and £3 per day to run depending on usage, energy tariffs, and outside temperature. Keeping the spa heated continuously at a lower temperature when not in use is more energy efficient than reheating from cold for each session.
Do I need an electrician to install a family hot tub?
Yes — our 6 and 7 person hot tubs require a dedicated 32amp power supply installed by a qualified electrician before delivery. This allows the spa to run a larger heater and multiple pumps simultaneously, maintaining temperature more effectively during colder months than a standard 13amp connection.
How much space do I need for a family hot tub?
Our family hot tubs range from around 213 x 213cm up to 229 x 229cm, so you'll need a solid, level base of at least that size plus a minimum of 60cm clearance on all sides for access and servicing. A reinforced concrete base or suitably strengthened decking is recommended to safely support the weight when filled.
